DC Modern Quilt Guild Screen Printing Workshop

Presented by the Arlington County CostumeLab

When: Saturday, February 10 th , 2018, 1pm-4pm

Where: The Arlington County CostumeLab, 2700 South Lang St, Arlington, VA 22206

What: During this three-hour screen printing workshop participants will learn each step of the screen printing process. Starting with how to choose images for screen printing, artist Jun Lee will demonstrate how to make an emulsion, create a screen, pull dye onto fabric, and set the final print. Three different designs and 6 color choices will be available. (Please wear clothes that you won’t mind getting dye on and comfortable, closed-toed shoes.)

About Jun Lee: Currently the Artist in Residence in printmaking at the Lee Arts Center in Arlington, VA, teaching artist Jun Lee attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design earning a BFA in Illustration and Post Baccalaureate in Printmaking. She later received her MFA in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. During her residency at Lee Arts Center, she has focused on large-scale woodcuts and screenprinting. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
